I recently had a great 1-hour call with Shawn Khunkhun who is the CEO and Director of StrikePoint Gold Inc (He is also CEO & Director of Dolly Varden Silver which I have written about previously). We talked about a bunch of different subjects and what impressed me the most was his overall drive to make sure that his shareholders gets a win in Strikepoint. Not that he can guarantee such a thing but it was obvious that he has set up the company for the best possible chance for a win, or more. I say this because Shawn made sure that StrikePoint was active during the lulls of the market and the company has picked up a bunch of assets over the last few years on the cheap. Assets that would be a lot more expensive today. I hope to see the company have a lot of success so I can go on a site visit when COVID allows. I have never been in that part of Canada and I hear it is quite a sight.

What I really like about StrikePoint is:

  1. The impressive shareholders base
    1. Eric Sprott (19.9%)
    2. Skeena Resources (13%)
    3. Ascot Resources (7%)
  2. The broad asset base for a junior
    1. Willoughby (Advanced project in the Golden Triangle)
    2. Porter (Advanced project in the Golden Triangle)
    3. Two “flagship” project in Yukon
    4. Additional projects in Yukon and Ontario
  3. That the two flagship assets already got impressive mineralization confirmed and/or historic resources
    1. Willoughby
    2. Porter
  4. The Technical Team
    • Adrian Fleming and a bunch of ex Red Mountain veterans including Rob Mcleod
      • The Red Mountain project was owned by IDM Mining before it was acquired by Ascot Resources and is a stone’s throw away from Willoughby

I see StrikePoint Gold very much as a company that has been finely crafted in anticipation for a big bull market in the precious metals. The spin out value (sum of its parts) of all assets should very much be worth more than the current Enterprise Value of the company. Furthermore the company already knows that both Willoughby and Porter have high grade mineralization. Thus, the question is not IF StrikePoint got gold & silver but rather how much. All in all the company has a lot of irons in the fire and “only” one project needs to be a success for shareholders to do well in a precious metal boom. I am certain that Shawn and his impressive team will do everything they can to unlock the real potential of one or more assets and that said team will have the best odds of any to be able to do so.

I am a shareholders of StrikePoint Gold and I got a piece of the latest Private Placement as well. I was happy to get StrikePoint on as a passive banner sponsor and I will help tell the story for that win-win situation.

Be on the lookout for the customary introduction piece on StrikePoint Gold in the coming weeks.
