Hello Everyone

Happy New Year! Let’s hope that the market for junior gold stocks continues the positive momentum of late last year.  We are starting the year with a bang and have spectacular drill results out today from the Central gold deposit at our Cuiú Cuiú project in Brazil. Today’s results are from 8 additional RC drill holes recently completed at the Central gold deposit.

Here are Alan’s thoughts.

Principle takeaways:

1.     This is the third batch of drill results from Central which we are reporting as part of the recent RC drill program – all of the holes are targeting the weathered gold-in-oxide material which is soft and amenable to free digging (i.e. no drilling or blasting will be required)

2.     The stand-out result from today is not actually from the oxide material but is from the mineralized zone in granitic rock immediately below the weathered oxide material. It does however have positive implications for the amount of high-grade material in the overlying weathered profile or gold-in-oxide material. RC368 returned 10m @ 10.5 g/t gold from 67m depth, including 1m @ 63.6 g/t gold and 1m @ 28.3 g/t gold. The width of the mineralized zone also remains open as the hole ended in +1 g/t mineralized material at 77m depth

3.     OK – so how what should I take away from these drill results?

Well, whilst this stunning high-grade intercept sits in hard rock material immediately below the boundary with soft saprolite (weathered material), it is also located directly below a previous drill hole (DDH306) which returned 20.9m @ 4.2 g/t gold in saprolite indicating that this high-grade zone in the oxide extends all the way to the contact with the hard primary rock and beyond it at depth.

It also continues to suggest the presence of a significant amount of high-grade material that is near surface at Central. This of course has obvious implications for the ongoing prefeasibility study

4.     There are some other very positive drill results in the holes we reported today including;

  • RC384 which returned 23m @ 0.9 g/t gold from 4m depth in saprolite and,
  • RC385 13m @ 0.7 g/t gold from 3m depth, 6m @ 1.4 g/t gold from 44m depth and 4m @ 2.7 g/t gold from 59m depth all in saprolite

5.     Results are still pending on 13 additional holes at Central and 18 shallow holes at Machichie and 10 shallow auger holes at MG
