Erik Wetterling, Founder and Editor of The Hedgeless Horseman website, joins us to discuss why it is so important to find the resource stocks that are going to survive this continued sector weakness, before the sentiment shifts back higher once again and we see valuations climb higher.  One of the key concerns for junior companies is where their capital will come from to continue work programs, and so some of the companies with prospective properties have elected to partner with larger producing companies to through strategic stakes or joint ventures.

Two examples of junior resource companies Erik flagged as having recent interest from the larger majors was the strategic position Barrick Gold took in Hercules Silver (BIG.V) for their recent copper discovery, as well as the definitive option agreement that Boliden structured with District Metals (DMX.V) on their zinc, silver, and polymetallic projects.

*In full disclosure, many of the companies mentioned by Erik, in this interview include personal positions in his portfolio, and they also may be site sponsors on The Hedgeless Horseman website at the time of this recording.
