Below is a short exchange between myself and Quinton Hennigh, director of Irving Resources and lead geologist. My questions was primarily regarding the brownfield targets of Hokuryu and Omui. This exchange took place a few days before the Omu Sinter and the following news releases started to steal the show.

Horseman: So the high grade breccia (Horseman’s note: The bonanza grade implosion breccia from Omui) material is made up of (high grade) pieces that were actually formed at lower levels, thus giving us a fragmented peek in terms of what happened closer to the boiling zone?
Quinton Hennigh: Yes

Horseman: Given that you have “implosion breccia” and also “cruss-cutting veins” at Honpi, does that mean that there were multiple eruptions and hydrothermal flow events?

Quinon Hennigh: Absolutely and that is good

Horseman: I saw a slide of the lateral vein swarms at Hishikari, in a geology video, and I remember reading that you found 300-400 wide vein “corridors” at Omui. For a novice like me, it sounds a bit similar.
Quinton Hennigh: Indeed!

Horseman: Also, am I correct in assuming that this Epithermal vein model where the boiling zone is the real target, is what you have been referring too when you say that a lot has happened in terms of geological knowledge since the time when the japanese were mining and exploring around Hokuryu and Omui?
Quinton Hennigh: Absolutely!  We are chasing the real prize!

Horseman: I assume they probably did not know about “boiling zones” for example?
Quinton Hennigh: They did, but not an accurate view of depth and the buried nature of Hishikari

Note: I own shares of Irving Resources. I may buy or sell shares at any time. Always do you own due diligence. This is not investment advice.
